Korean Four Pillars · 사주팔자
Your Saju chart, calculated for where you were actually born.
Most Saju tools assume Korea. We follow the sun at your birthplace — real timezone, daylight saving, true solar time — then decode your eight characters into plain English.

Three fields. That's the whole form.
The city matters more than you'd think: it sets your timezone, your daylight-saving rule and your longitude. Type the town you were born in, not where you live now.
How it works
Thirty seconds to your chart. A lifetime to read it.
Enter your birth moment
Date, time and the city you were born in. If you don't know the hour, say so — we read three pillars and never guess noon.
We follow the sun, not the clock
Your birth is converted through your real timezone and daylight-saving rules, then shifted to true solar time at your longitude. Year and month pillars snap to exact solar-term instants.
Read your eight characters
Your Day Master, five-element balance, Ten Gods and 10-year luck cycles — free, in your browser, with a card you can share.
Why the birthplace matters
Noon in New York is not noon in Seoul.
Saju's twelve “animal hours” are defined by the sun, and the Day pillar changes at solar midnight. Most online tools quietly assume you were born in Korea. Feed them a New York birth and the Hour pillar can come out wrong — and near midnight, so can your Day Master.
- Your real timezone and the daylight-saving rule in force that year
- Longitude correction: 4 minutes of solar time per degree
- The equation of time: the sun runs up to 16 minutes fast or slow
- Exact solar-term instants for the Year and Month pillars

Before you type your birthday
Is this the same as Chinese BaZi?
Same roots, same eight characters. Saju is the Korean tradition of reading them, with its own conventions — for example how the 23:00–01:00 hour is handled. We state our rules on the method page so you can compare.
I don't know my birth time. Can I still use it?
Yes. Tick “I don't know my birth time” and we compute three pillars. We never substitute noon, because a guessed hour would give you a wrong Hour pillar and, near midnight, a wrong Day Master.
Is my birth data stored?
The free chart is calculated in your browser; nothing is sent to a server except the city name for timezone lookup. If you buy a report we store what is needed to generate and re-open it, and replace your raw birth time with a hash afterwards.
How is the report written?
The chart is calculated by our engine, never by an AI. The reading is then written for your specific characters by our AI interpreter, working from classical Saju method and a documented set of rules, in plain English at about a middle-school reading level.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of purchase. Email us with your order ID and we refund in full, no questions.
Does it predict the future?
No. Saju describes tendencies, timing and questions worth asking. We write it as a mirror, not a forecast, and we never predict specific events.
Eight characters. One of them is you.
